March 2020

We have come to a scary time in our lives this year. There are so many people who are working from home or are out of work due to this virus that is making it’s way around the globe. Many people are even at home because they need to take care of their children because the schools are closed for the forseeable future.

Well, with this all happening, I am sure that you are looking for things to do while at home. There is plenty. We can start off with the ever dreading Spring Cleaning. I know that I dread this huge task every year.

We need to make life at home interesting to stave off cabin fever. One idea is to think of our Homeless Neighbors and what they need, to keep on surviving out on the streets. It is still cold outside, especially at night.

If you are looking to discard your worn out sheets and blankets, why not recycle them into a sleeping bag. If you are handy on a sewing machine or you know of someone who is, sew 2 – 7’x7′ square tops, stitch them together at one end and fill it with that old and worn out blanket that you want to get rid of. Roll it up and tie it closed with 2 neckties that someone in your family doesn’t like anymore.

It’s as easy as that. Plus it is a great way to make the day pass while you are stuck at home.

Be healthy. Be safe.
