The history of neckties goes as far back as 30,000 years. They were used as a fashion statement, whether they were made of beads, wood, metal or silk.

Starting in the 17th Century, Kings had soldiers wear neckties to distinguish who they were or where they came from.

Now a days, neckties are made of different materials, i.e. silk, polyester or wool. The endless variety of colors and designs would give a gentleman a new look every time he would adorn his tie.

Ties became so abundant in accessory world, that what’s a man to do with so many ties in the closet? Give it one last job…attach it to a sleeping bag. With their great strength, from being cut on a bias, they never stretched out no matter how hard you pulled on it.

That is why it is such a great asset to the sleeping bag.  So the next time you clean your closet and need to dispose of those old, out dated ties…think of how useful it will be in wrapping up a sleeping bag to keep it snug.
