It dawned on me recently that many of you use eBay to purchase and sell items. It is such a great way to get rid of those unwanted treasures that seem to just collect dust. It is also a great way to get some terrific deals on items that you have been searching all over for.

eBay has collaborated with an organization called Mission Fish. Through eBay Giving Works, sellers are able to donate a portion or all of the proceeds of a sale to their favorite charity kent cigarettes. It is a very simple thing to do.

Even if you buy an item that isn’t an eBay Giving Works listing, you can donate to a nonprofit at “Give At Checkout” as long as you pay with PayPal. You can donate as little as $1 to $25 to the amount when you checkout.

You can also use “Donate Now” on eBay Giving Works to make an online cash donation without buying or selling anything. You don’t need to be an eBay member to use “Donate Now”.

These donations are all tax deductible.

My Brothers’ Keeper Quilt Group is listed amongst the many thousands of other charities. If you are ever on eBay and would like to make a donation to the project we would greatly appreciate it. Times are tough for all of us this year. With the high gas prices and the high cost of maintaining our delivery van, our belt has been tightened, and we have been struggling to get the sleeping bags out to those most in need.

So, next time you are surfing through eBay, look us up on Mission Fish. You will be happy you did and so will we.
