December 2009

Jim and I bring sleeping bags where ever we go. Thanks to all the wonderful men and women in N.E. PA and Southern Tier NY who keep our garage door busy.

If we go to New York we take sleeping bags. If we go to Phil. or Scranton we take sleeping bags. This month we were privileged to visit the Christmas White House with our two daughters and their husbands, Courtesy of, Michael E. McMahon,
New York 13th Congressional District.

The first thing I did when I knew we were going was to turn on the internet and research what organizations were caring for the homeless in that area. Christ House jumped out and I called them to see if they needed any sleeping bags.

Mark DeWeese told me that they run a medical facility for the homeless but they do have two vans that go out every night. They never heard of our project but they most certainly needed what we had. The first thing Jim and my daughter Marge did when we arrived was to deliver this life saving cargo to Christ House where people were waiting to unload.

A Thank You to every one that made these life saving sleeping bags. Because you have Blessed someone, You are also Blessed.

May your New Year be warm and wonderful.

Flo & Jim
